Scalby is a pretty village on the outskirts of the local town of Scarborough and on the doorstep of the North York Moors National Park and the Cleveland Way. It has two village pubs which both serving food, a newsagent, general store, cafe and hairdressers.
Scalby is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and golfers being only a few minutes away from both North and South Cliff Golf Courses and approximately 10 miles from the Ganton Golf course.
Scarborough is England's oldest seaside resort. It has two magnificent bays with sweeping beaches, a working harbour, castle and bustling seafront. For entertainment there is Alan Aykbourne's famous Stephen Joseph Theatre and the Spa, which hosts daily musical performances and summertime variety shows. There is also an abundance of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes.
Scarborough is also close to Whitby, Bridlington and Filey and the inland towns of Malton and Pickering. York is 40 miles away and is easily accessible by car, train or bus.
